Howdy folks. So first order of business I’m going to turn off the twitter to tumblr posting cause that’s kind of annoying and I apologize, I just wanted to update this a little more, but twitter posts aren’t the right kind of updates. Anyway, here’s a fresh post since it’s been a while. So I’ve kind of been doing some more design stuff in school now, not really learning anything from that specific class but just pushing myself to think more about design I guess. I’ve still got a lot to learn, but here’s one page for my Design of GUI group project (my partner didn’t contribute anything at all to this design, nothing…) that is pretty final for the most part. I hate my logo but I don’t really know what to do with it because I feel like I need some kind of tool there, maybe I should try a wrench? Anyway we’re supposed to redesign a local construction/renovation company’s website and here’s the one I chose to redesign http://www.gravesbros.com/. I hope you can see I’ve tried to make it better at the very least, as I wrote earlier I’ve still got a lot to learn about design, but I hope I’m at least making a tiny bit of progress, and hopefully that’ll go a long way. After Im done with this I’d like to try to build it out as a real site with code just to get some practice, right now it’s just an illustrator composition. Hopefully I can have some more of these posts to show of my work, there’s at least one more post for this project coming since it’s due in a few days so I’ll have the rest of the designs done. I’ve also got a solo project coming up after so here’s hoping I can make a big leap in terms of quality!
